Study of Religion
Supported by the Department of Philosophy and Religion

If you are considering attending seminary; contemplating a career in ministry, counseling or social work; or you desire a robust and focused humanities education as the foundation for work or further study in a variety of fields, the University of Evansville's programs in religion may be for you. In your religion major you can focus in either Theological Studies or Biblical Studies based on your interests. Areas in which our course offerings and faculty expertise are especially strong include biblical interpretation, biblical languages, women’s studies in religion, and contemporary theology.  Our majors allow you to focus on your specific interests, while permitting you to integrate work across several areas of study.
